(www.BigSouthSports.com) -- For the first time since 2012, Radford University is the No. 1 seed in the Big South Softball Championship following the conclusion of the conference season this afternoon. The Highlanders clinched their first outright Big South regular-season championship since 2012 and fifth overall, and are seeking their first Big South Tournament title since back-to-back crowns in 2009 and 2010. The top five teams in the final standings qualified for the league’s postseason championship, which will be contested May 7-10 at the PC Softball Complex on the campus of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.
