(www.BigSouthSports.com) – Two-time defending women’s soccer champion Radford University has been voted the favorite in the annual Big South Conference preseason poll by the league’s head coaches, it was announced today by the conference office. In addition, the coaches voted USC Upstate forward Dara Russo (Miamisburg, Ohio) the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, Radford midfielder Lilly Short (Georgetown, Del.) the Preseason Midfielder of the Year, Radford defender Helena Willson (Leesburg, Va.) the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, and Charleston Southern’s Jenna Moran (Naples, Fla.) the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. All four individuals also earned spots on the preseason All-Conference team, which is listed below.
