HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jordan Bell, a 6-foot-6 power forward from Mobile, has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 9. Bell scored 39 points and grabbed five rebounds a week ago to power the Ambassadors to thrilling 77-75 road win at Tennessee Southern. He shot 15-of-26 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and 6-of-9 from the free throw line in 38 minutes of work. Through five games, Bell leads Oakwood in scoring (26.0), rebounding (6.8), field goal percentage (58), 3-point field goal percentage (46.7), steals (1.5) and blocks (1.3). Bell and Oakwood are back in action tonight at Tennessee State in an exhibition game. Tipoff is 6.
