HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jordan Bell, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, and Trenisha Adams, a 5-5 shooting guard, have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week for the week ending Nov. 23. Bell averaged 23.3 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting almost 50 percent from the field last week. He also had seven assists and four steals. A native of Mobile, Bell had 21 points and nine rebounds in a 99-66 loss to Trevecca Nazarene, an NCAA Division II school in the Gulf South Conference. He had 23 points in a loss to Talladega College on Thursday, but had his best game of the week Saturday with 26 points and eight rebounds to help Oakwood beat Voorhees University. Adams averaged 17 points and five rebounds in helping the Ambassadors start 2-0 in league play. A native of Rome, Ga., Adams shot 66 percent (12-of-18) from the field, including 64 percent (9-of-14) from 3-point range. She also had seven assists and four steals. Adams had 19 points, including six 3-pointers in an 85-58 road win at Talladega College Thursday night and then scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including three 3-pointers in a 67-56 win at Voorhees University Saturday night.
