TROY, Ala. – Trenisha Adams, Jay'Lenia Thomas and Alecia Reasor combined for 38 points, but it wasn't enough as Troy University downed Oakwood University 132-62 Wednesday in a women's non-conference basketball game inside Trojan Arena. The contest was an exhibition game for Oakwood. The Trojans improved to 9-1 with the victory. Adams finished with 18 points, including six 3-pointers. She also had two assists, one rebound and a steal. Thomas scored 10 points with two rebounds, one block and one steal, while Reasor had 10 10 points, four rebounds and two assists. The Ambassadors shot 32.8 percent (22-of-67) from the field, including 28.6 percent (8-of-28) from 3-point range, and 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the free throw line. Emani Jenkins led seven Troy players in double figures with 31 points. The Trojans shot 57.6 percent (49-of-85) from the field, including 57.1 percent (20-of-35) from beyond the arc, and 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the charity stripe. Oakwood is back in action Thursday at Philander Smith in an HBCU Athletic Conference game.
