RAYMOND, Miss. - The 2nd Annual Hinds Athletics Golf Outing was initially postponed from April 21st to June 1st because of weather. The extra few weeks allowed for more teams and sponsors to sign up and be a part of the golf outing that directly supports Hinds student-athletes. The weather was tremendous, minus the short afternoon shower, and many teams came out to show support for Hinds Athletics. The outing grew from last year with a total of 16 teams competing with the team of Rick Trusty, Billy Allen (Hinds Golf Alumni), Chris Moulds (Hinds Golf Alumni), and Glen Burns taking home the top spot with a score of 46 under par for the day. Lunch and dinner were served thanks to Raising Cane's in Byram, Hinds Meat Market, and Kathy Farris. Silent auction items were provided by Creels Gameday Autographs. Music provided by Sound & Communications. And beverages provided by Southern Beverage.
