In the final week of regular season conference football, all eyes have descended on Murfreesboro, NC to see if Chowan can claim the Northern Division and clinch a berth in the 2022 CIAA Football Championship. Chowan would earn an appearance opposite Fayetteville State if they can defeat Elizabeth City State today. Meanwhile, nationally-ranked Virginia Union can still win the Northern Division with a win over rival Virginia State and a Chowan loss Saturday.
